Dear Friend,

Welcome to the WhisperArt website.  My name is Ethan W. Moses and I am the founder of WhisperArt Ministry.  WhisperArt Ministry is a ministry of encouragement which seeks to elevate spiritual awareness in our local communities and throughout the world through the arts, thereby sharing the love of God with others and reaching people for Christ.  I have been writing Christian based material for several years and I have an overwhelming desire to share it with the world.  The material on this website is my testimony of how God has enriched my life over these past many years and it is my desire that God use this material to also encourage your own heart.  The poetry, devotionals, and music on these pages comes as a result of prayer and meditation and I am pleased to make it available to you out of a heart of Christian love. I can not emphasize enough the importance of godly prayer and meditation in not only the life of the Christian but in the life of the non-Christian as well.  It is my prayer that as you read the poetry and devotionals and listen to the music on this site you too will develop a desire for spending time in God's presence through a daily regiment of meditation and prayer.

I would like to invite you to browse the WhisperArt website.  As you review this material may you also experience the manifold grace of God just as I did while creating it.  On the left you will find links for devotionals, poetry, and music.  The devotionals are meant to enlighten and encourage.  The poetry will remind you of what the Bible says about all of us being God's workmanship, where the word workmanship translates to the word "poem".  The music is of the southern gospel or country gospel genre and was written to brighten your daily life.  All of this material is my response to God as a result of worship and spending time in His presence through meditation and prayer.  It is not possible to have an encounter with God and not have a response.  All the material on this website is my response to God who is at work in my life.  Our response is our spiritual act of service and it is through service that God truly blesses.  God blesses by flooding our minds with insights and realizations about His awesome love for us.

The book of Psalms is an excellent example of serving God through the arts.  King David was a master at using the arts not only to praise God but also to worship God.  He effectively used the arts not only in his own personal worship but also for corporate worship.  Today, whether it be southern gospel or country gospel, we too can use the arts to glorify God.  The southern gospel and country gospel genres of music are both forms of music for the common man.  Like in King David's time, southern gospel and country gospel music, deals with the basic essentials of life.  The early Christian and the Christian of today, have used music and musical instruments to enhance the worship experience.  Southern gospel and country gospel music is enjoyed by both Christian and non-Christian alike and both serve as useful tools for ministry.  Southern gospel and country gospel music can also be used effectively to focus our spiritual mind on eternal things prior to engaging in sessions of meditation and prayer.

Our spiritual mind is like a radar.  It too is designed to transmit and receive.  Prayer equals transmit and meditation equals receive.  While in prayer we transmit our thoughts of praise, requests and concerns to God and during meditation God encourages us and shares His desires and concerns for our lives with us.  I would like to encourage you to not only let your requests be known to God but to also take the time to listen for God's response.  We are told in Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God;".  Sometimes, we need to just shut down our transmitter and listen.  You may also find it necessary to fine tune your receiver in order to filter out all the static.

May God richly bless!

Ethan W. Moses
